Hello guys , I hope you are all having a great time, Today I will share with you a simple recipe, some of you might know how easy is to prepare meatballs at home, In Peru this dish is not that common, we prepare it once in a while but is better to know how to prepare this “Staple” dish , you never know when you will have to cook it.

Meatballs | Servings: 4

  • Vegetable Oil
  • 500 gr of cooked pasta

For the meatballs:

  • 500 gr of ground meat
  • 1 Onion finely diced
  • 1.5 Cups of crumbled bread
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Tablespoon of minced parsley
  • 1.5 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1/2 Cup of evaporated milk

For the Pomodoro :

  • 1 Onion diced
  • 5 Tomatoes , chopped
  • 2 Carrots, peeled & chopped
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1.5 Tablespoons of Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of Paprika
  • Oregano
  • Parmesan Cheese and parsley to garnish

Steps :

  • Lets make the meatballs first, add all your ingredients in a bowl mix them, then shape them into balls.

  • In a hot pot add 3 tablespoon of oil , cook the balls, you have to be fast, 1 min per side, then reserve. If pot is hot ,it wont stick

  • For the Pomodoro sauce , in the same Pot, add onions, garlic,carrots, tomatoes and let them cook for at least 5 min, after that blend them and turn return the mix into the same pot

  • Put your meatballs back again into the pot, add salt, pepper, bay leaf, oregano, put a lid and let it cook for at least 7 min.

  • Serve with some pasta , sprinkle some chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese on top and its good to go!
